About Me
Dr. Rabia Subhani, The Heartful Psychologist®
I have always wanted to be a healer of minds and hearts. Through many trials, tribulations, and lots and lots of schooling later, I found my calling. As a clinical neuropsychologist specializing in Autism assessment, I began my career providing neuropsychological and psychological testing. However, several personal events in my life led to a shift in my professional goals. As I became more immersed in mindfulness at a personal level, I saw the benefits of this practice for ND (neurodivergent) children, as well as their caregivers, many of whom were also neurodivergent (such as me)! I started training in different mindfulness programs but couldn’t find one which incorporated everything I liked so I decided to create my own and the Mindful Village® program was born. This program is being updated (available June 25, 2025) to reflect a more neurodivergent-affirming lens, as well as spanning from childhood to young adults. I will also be releasing a more spiritually-based version of this program from a Sufi perspective (BarakahParenting.com) at the same time. Pre-orders are available now for both programs.
In addition to these programs, I also offer spiritually-based, heart-led coaching (quantumqun.com) and consultations for businesses interested in adding mindfulness or neurodiversity-affirming related services. My current psychological services include consultations/second opinion, telehealth only autism/ADHD assessments for adults (I do assess males but have a special focus on women and gender diverse/trans folx), autism assessment for toddlers (under 36 months), as well as immigration evaluations (U Visa & N-648). The services I offer are listed below and in more detail under the Services tab. Please click on the link to learn more about me and my credentials.

Barakah
Parenting
I'm so happy to announce the creation of a new faith-based version of the Mindful Village® program with a more spiritual, Sufi component, Barakah Parenting. Barakah means Divine Blessing which is what our neurodivergent children are!
Like Mindful Village®, this program combines mindfulness, self-compassion, positive psychology, and neuroscience with the addition of sacred heart-led practices and the perspective that our children are here as divine teachers to wake us up!
You do not have to be a Muslim/Sufi to do this program - optional secular practices are also offered. You can check it out by clicking on the logo or at BarakahParenting.com.

Mindfulness Trainings
What is mindfulness? You may hear it a lot these days as being mindful has almost become a fad! For me, mindfulness is simply paying attention to the present moment with loving awareness. As you practice mindfulness in your daily activities, it will become routine. Research shows that people who make this a daily habit increase their levels of happiness and resilience, while decreasing stress and anxiety. I offer several different options for mindfulness trainings, including private groups, which are listed on the Services tab under Mindfulness. The Mindful Village® program incorporates mindfulness, positive psychology, neuroscience, compassion, and love from a neuro-affirming perspective so parents of neurodivergent children can be empowered in their parenting.
